IMO, the rear steer design isn’t as advantageous as it’s thought to be. We have some Pelicans and other sweepers that are mounted on a regular front drive Frieghtliner chassis. The guys in the Freightliners do a better job. The pelicans are more manoeuvrable, but, as they pivot, it lets more dirty out the side. Because the sweeper is so close to the pivot point, this creates a windrow when turning. The frieghtliners also have rear mounted sweepers, but don’t get that windrow, since the it’s far away from the pivot point. If the pelican had the steering mechanism on the front or the sweeper somehow designed into the front, I think it would mitigate the problem. Just an observation

If I were to operate one of *your* sweepers, I would either pick those electric sweepers (Electric Broom Bear, Hybrid Broom Bear, Hybrid Pelican), or the waterless dust control Pelican/Eagles. I just want to be as environmentally-friendly as possible, ya know.

Elgin makes a superior product. Just waiting to see their automated AI version come out. That can handle a heavy leaf season.

I see three problems with this broom. Hopper door is too small. Makes it difficult to dump in a truck. The hopper window is tiny. Why? How much would it cost to add a bigger plexiglass window for the operator to be able to see his load better? My third gripe is the gutter brooms adjustability. How long before you make them go further out? All those designs are fare behind your competition. Ive been in a sweeper for 10 years now and ran multiple brooms cleaning by behind mills. I live right down the street from your factory. If you would like some advice from an experienced broom operator let me know.

Please I'm face this challenge one of our street sweeper the two side brushes are not rotating but they can go down and comes up but not rotating. Please what can be the issue and how can I solve this problem

You guys really need to update your hopper design. The door is way to short for dumping into trucks. Also, the seeing window could definitely be bigger so we can see the load easier.

Zero emissions when operating. How much was produced to mine the ingredients for the battery and how much coal is burned to charge it everyday? What will you do with the non renewable, unrecycalble battery when its done? Keep pretending and lying to yourself.

Much rather cut with 02 with the steel I cut it leaves no slag compared to n2 which always leaves just a little bit. At the thickness we use it’s almost no difference in the speed either

Waterless dust control should be installed on every single street sweeper in the world. Then, we wouldn't even need water on our sweepers, which is essential for the environment.

The Pelican is the backbone of our city. In our city, we have pelicans painted in patriotic colors so it makes sense that we use Elgin Pelicans.
